He always knew how to work a room. It would take about five minutes to engage everyone, spritely moving from person to person.
It is of a great loss to this world that Rokube-kun (ro ku bay), the loyal twin brother of Yume-chan (you may), passed away Tuesday at the mere age of 5 months.

Amid a cloud of uncertainty, we are left not only questioning why this young kitten was taken from us, but revering in the solace that up until the minutes before his death he was energetic, unselfish with his love, instigative, and above all, perpetually happy.

Whether it was allowing his sister to terrorize him, bathing her, jumping for high objects, climbing curtains or running full-speed ahead into screen doors, Rokube always made time for other animals and people. He was a peaceful little guy who knew the good things in life, like how to situate himself ever-so-perfectly in just the right places.

He is survived by his parents, Danielle and Gino, and his inseparable sister, Yume. From their entry into this life, Rokube and Yume had been apart for a total of 15 minutes. They napped, rough-housed, fed from the same bowl, tag-teamed innocent bugs, mutilated fearsome cockroaches, all in one another's company.

Rokube, may you rest in peace under the glory of God; may you play in heaven among the lights of happiness; and may you live out eternity in a way that would have mirrored your eternal contentment that you experienced in the companionship of your sister, the warmth of your owners, and the safety of always being comfortable.

This blog brought tears to my eyes again. My heart hurts for you and his sister. Love, M
Oh Noooooo!!!!!!! Poor Rokube. He was my favorite cat ever, even though I was allergic to him, possibly the only cat I ever really liked. Except Yume of course. But not as much. I'm sorry Danielle, it must be lonely without him (T_T).
