This photo was taken at Angkor Wat in Siem Riep, Cambodia. The temples of Angkor were built by the Khmer civilization between 802 and 1220 AD. These magnificent structures are relatively intact. Ancient things fascinate me. Here, I am kicking up my heels on the surviving remains of a grand religious, social and administrative metropolis that was the place to be a thousand years ago. This temple has become the symbol of Cambodia, appearing on the national flag.
